IBEX Team and Management
IBEXPERTS Ltd. and IBEXPERTS BV were founded in 2004
and in 2007, respectively and are
managed by Dr. Rachel Kreisberg-Zakarin.
Dr. Zakarin is a bio-entrepreneur who specializes in carrying out ambitious, large-scale
international projects. She has proven experience in managing international R&D projects, such as
EU projects and technology transfer initiatives. In addition, she has a track record of initiating
international projects such as the establishment of bioinformatics centers, some of which were part
of an initiative of Israeli and Palestinian businessmen under the auspice of the World
Bank, to promote peace through joint ventures.
Prior to founding IBEX, she has managed the Bioinformatics Unit of Tel Aviv University between 1998 and 2005
and she was one of the co-founders of the Israeli National Center of Bioinformatics Infrastructure
(COBI), which was established in 2002.
She has a Ph.D. in biology from Tel Aviv University, a M.Sc. in chemistry from the Technion and an
MBA from Tel Aviv University. She was born in the Netherlands and speaks English, Dutch, Hebrew, German and French.
Mrs. Nurit Alima is an Budgeting coordinator. She
aids in the preparation of project budgets and develops and maintains IBEX proprietary databases.
She has a B.Sc. in Biology from Tel Aviv University. She was born in Israel and speaks Hebrew and English.
Dr. Katya Arnold joined IBEX in January 2008 as EU project manager.
She prepares EU research proposals, such as collaborative research and capacity research potential grants (REGPOT).
Katya is IBEX contact point to Russia.
Her track record includes the preparation of a dozen of FP7 collaborative research projects and
management of three such projects. She has completed her Ph.D. and
postdoctoral studies in molecular cell biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science (2005) and
she has two years of experience in the Israeli biotechnology industry in the fields of business
development and project management. She was born in Russia and speaks English, Russian and Hebrew.
Dipl.-Ing. Habeeb Karayanni is project
manager who is experienced in the initiation and operation of international projects in the fields of renewable
energy and water. He obtained his degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering at the
University of Aachen, Germany; he was born in Israel and speaks Arabic, Hebrew, English and German.
Mr. Denis Kearney is an expert in business collaboration between SMEs. He has developed and led
successful consortia for several EU projects in the areas of innovation, collaboration, environment
and quality. Denis has a Mechanical Engineering degree from University College Dublin, a Masters in
Industrial Engineering from the National University of Ireland Galway, and diplomas in Business and
Strategy Management. He was born in Ireland and speaks English.
Mr. Guy Maayan joined IBEX in January 2007 as a financial officer. Mr.
Maayan provides IBEX EU research consortia with comprehensive financial management services. He has
a BA in Economy and an MA in Contemporary Middle East Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Mr. Ran Meged is an Information technology (IT) specialists who develops and
maintains IBEX proprietary databases that serve the company in carrying out its core business
activities. He has an B.Sc. in agriculture from the Hebrew University and he followed multiple courses in the field of IT.
IBEX Company Culture
IBEX is named after a wild goat found in mountainous terrain. It is very agile in
manoeuvering steep cliffs, is well adapted to minimalist conditions, stands on
very strong legs and
possesses an acute sense of hearing.
The IBEX team uses these same characteristics
to offer its clients agility, market adaptability and
strategic vision to enhance the R&D capabilities
and profitability of an organization.
