July 2009 - IBEX trained a group of Polish bio-entrepreneurs in FP7 collaborative
research project initiation, consortium building, WP drafting, budgeting, etc. The course was part
of the Bio Business School in Gdynia, Poland, organized by PRO-SCIENCE.EU

for advanced researchers.
April 2009 - IBEX submitted a collaborative research proposal for the
FP7 transportation Galileo project.
March 2009 - IBEX assisted in the preparation of a proposal that addressed
a call for proposals on the development of a solid waste management system for
municipalities of large cities in Africa
February-April 2009 - IBEX’s Russian EU project manager Dr. Katya Arnold was
stationed for 3 months in Moscow to initiate EU-Russian projects in health and Agricultural biotechnology
1-5 February 2009 - IBEX organized, together with a local Spanish partner, a
1st Avian Influenza joint consortium meeting of the EUROFLU, Flupath, Flupol, Fluinnate, RespViruses
consortia in Barcelona, Spain. The meeting was attended by one hundred participants and by the
EU officer, Dr. Cornelius Schmaltz.
January 2009 - IBEX initiated and submitted 3 collaborative research FP7 proposals
addressing the Food KBBE call: 1) Development of irrigation methods for Mediterranean agriculture,
a SICA project which involves the Technion Israel Institute of Technology as coordinator as well as partners
from EU and from the Palestinian Authority and North Africa; 2) Behavioural models and
interventions for stimulating healthy activity patterns and eating habits in children and their
parents, with TNO Quality of Life from the Netherlands as coordinator;
3) Development of anti-orbiviral vaccines and DIVA test, with
Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell'Abruzzo e del Molise "G. Caporale" (IZSA&M, Teramo) as coordinator.
December 2008 - IBEX prepared and submitted FP7 collaborative research proposals
addressing Health calls on rare neurological diseases and on the brain. The coordinators of
both consortia are affiliated with Tel Aviv University, Israel.
October-December 2008 - IBEX submitted European Research Council (ERC) proposals
for starter researchers for the Physical Sciences & Engineering (PE) and Life Sciences (LS) panels.
March-April 2008 - IBEX submitted European Research Council (ERC) proposals
for advanced researchers.
March 2008 - IBEX submitted a capacity proposal addressing the
REGPOT-1 call with a proposal on the development and strengthening of the research and training
potential on Atherothrombosis in North Western Greece.
March 2008 - IBEX has expanded its EU project portfolio which includes, in addition
to collaborative research projects (under
Cooperation), proposals in the fields of research capacity building
(under Capacities) and
ERC grants (under Ideas).
February 2008 - IBEX submitted a collaborative research proposal addressing the
Food SICA call on obesity prevention in the Mediterranean area which involves the
Hadassah Medical Organization, Jerusalem, Israel
as coordinator and partners from non-European
countries, such as the Palestinian Authority and North Africa.
January 2008 - IBEX organized the FP6 EUROFLU project consortium meeting in Israel. The meeting
was attended by the EUROFLU partners from Germany, Slovakia, Spain and Israel, as well as the EU
officer, Dr. Cornelius Schmaltz. The
2-day meeting was preceded by a tour of Jerusalem and the south of Israel and concluded
with a second tour of Jerusalem.
October 2007 - Dr. Rachel Kreisberg-Zakarin established a Dutch sister company named
IBEXPERTS B.V. which will complement the activities of the Israeli 3.5-year old firm IBEXPERTS Ltd.
May-September 2007 - IBEX initiated and submitted several FP7
collaborative research proposals addressing the Health and Food Themes with coordinators
from the Christian-Albrechts-Universitaet zu Kiel, Germany, the University of Milano, Italy and
Terra Humana Ltd. Clean Technology Engineering, Hungary. IBEX co-managed the
consortium, fostered teamwork and took active part in preparing and in integrating the proposal.
April 2007 - IBEX initiated and submitted with
Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut (FLI), Germany as coordinator, an FP7 proposal addressing
the Health Theme and focusing on the "Development of novel vaccines for the treatment of Avian
Influenza."
January 2007 - IBEX is the project manager of the
Avian Influenza FP6
"Euroflu" project
and is, in addition, developing a highly annotated database of genes and proteins of Avian Influenza
genes and proteins and their host cell counterparts.
November 2006-June 2007 - IBEX is the project manager of the "ABC consortium" a joint R&D venture of international vegetable
seed companies which aims to develop new traits using innovative technologies. IBEX's role is to search for innovative technologies
at developed at leading research institutions, which could be transferred to the SMEs.
October 2006 - IBEX completed the negotiation phase for the accepted
Avian Influenza FP6
"Euroflu" project with the European Commission.
January 2006 - Dr. Rachel Kreisberg-Zakarin was part of the Israeli delegation of Businessmen
to the conference of the Palestinian International Business Forum (PIBF) which took place in
Stockholm, Sweden.
December 2005 - Dr. Rachel Kreisberg-Zakarin served as part of the delegation of Israeli
Businessmen that developed the joint Israeli-Palestinian Declaration
handed to the British Finance Minister, his Rt. Hon. Chancellor Gordon Brown and
Mr. Christiaan Poortman, Vice President of the Middle East and North Africa Region, World Bank.
November 2005 - IBEX successfully submitted an FP6 proposal focusing on pharmacogenomics studies
of statin drugs. IBEX initiated the project, established the consortium and took active part in
preparing and integrating the proposal.
October 2004 - IBEX initiated and organized a conference
in Athens, Greece, on the establishment of a Greek Bioinformatics Excellence Center.
